Apart from him being my boss I regarded him as a friend. A special memory I would like to share was coming into work earlier than usual to find Nigel cleaning the office and on another occasion washing my dirty mug before I could do it myself. And sometimes when things went wrong, Nigel would rather strive to solve the problem than to look at who was to blame. Johannes and I fondly remember him and Laida visiting us at home and sharing their time and stories with us over a meal on another occasion. He will be missed very much.
